It works by killing the fungi which cause athlete’s foot and provides relief from itching, burning and scaling which may accompany this condition. Do not take Lamisil if you are allergic to it or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Before taking this medicine, read the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start taking Lamisil. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. Do not take two doses of Lamisil to get the correct dose. If you have already done so, do not take it except on the advice of a doctor. You should not have your prescription for Lamisil if it is taken by other people. Precautions and antidote for Lamisil: • Take the medicine with a full glass of water. • Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking Lamisil. • Lamisil is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. • Avoid drinking alcohol as it may impair your ability to control your symptoms of athlete’s foot (tinea). • Before taking Lamisil, tell your doctor if you have any allergies, especially to terbinafine or to any other active ingredients. Terbinafine and other active ingredients can affect the way other medicines work or affect the way other medicines affect each other.
